GEOFF’S GREEN ARMY HITS THE STREETS OF BIRMINGHAM

Geoff’s 100-strong green army powered their way through the streets of Birmingham to complete the city’s EDF Half Marathon to raise money for the Foundation.

The GTF team, sponsored by AVN, joined 12,000 runners who took part in the half marathon. Geoff was supported by a number of people from the world of sport who took on the 13 mile race including former pro-cyclist and Paris Roubaix winner, Magnus Backstedt; Swedish professional cyclist, Fredrik Johansson; Colchester Utd Manager, Aidy Boothroyd, and ITV Sports presenter, Ned Boulting.

A BIG THANK YOU TO TOBY

We want to say a massive thank you to 8-year-old Toby Mortimer who has raised almost £1,800 for the GTF following a sponsored walk in August and by running a cake stall in his local village. Toby is the nephew of Steve Mead, a great friend of the Foundation, who lost his battle with leukaemia earlier this year.

AVN SPONSOR GTF BIRMINGHAM HALF MARATHON TEAM

Our long-term supporter, Added Value Solutions (AVN), will be the official sponsor of the 100-strong GTF Fundraising Team for the Birmingham Half Marathon on Sunday 11th October. AVN provide support services to owner-managed accountancy practices across the UK. The company has raised thousands of pounds for Geoff over the last two years.
